Replete with windmills and old-world charm, the village of Kinderdijk lies east of Rotterdam on the Lek River and is a popular stop for European river cruises. Home to the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands, Kinderdijk was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Snowdonia, a majestic national park in North Wales, offers a stunning tapestry of natural beauty and adventure. At its heart is Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, reaching 1,085 meters (3,560 feet). The mountain is accessible via several well-marked trails, with the Snowdon Mountain Railway providing a scenic ride to the summit. Formerly Mocamedes, this port in southwest Angola has become an important industrial center since a rail line was built in 1905 connecting it with the interior of Angola. In 1967 when iron ore was discovered in Dongo, an additional line was laid and the port was enlarged.
