Cahuita National Park is a protected coastal area on Costa Rica's southern Caribbean coast, near the town of Cahuita in Limón Province. The park protects a combination of tropical forest, beaches, wetlands, mangroves, coral reefs, and coastal waters. Its marine area is particularly important, encompassing one of Costa Rica's better-known coral reef systems.

Bruny Island is an island destination off the south-east coast of Tasmania, separated from the mainland by the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and reached by a short vehicle ferry from Kettering. Lake Retba, also known as Lac Rose, is a shallow salt lake near the Atlantic coast, north of Dakar. Its water is separated from the ocean by a narrow belt of dunes, creating a landscape of pale sand, salt flats, and low scrub. The lake is best known for its high salt concentration, which can produce pink, reddish, or mauve tones under particular conditions of sunlight and water chemistry. Its appearance changes with weather and light rather than remaining one fixed color.
