Nyerere National Park is a vast protected area in southern Tanzania, centered on the Rufiji River and the surrounding miombo woodlands, floodplains, grasslands, and wetlands. It forms part of the wider Selous ecosystem and is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks, covering more than 30,000 square kilometres.

Unlike more secluded beaches on the island, Anse Mitan is closely integrated with the surrounding resort area, with hotels, restaurants, shops, and water-sports facilities along the shoreline.

Alexandria is an unique and historic place that keeps pace with the modern world. The City is part of a large metropolitan area surrounding the nation's Capital, yet it has retained its period character. About one-quarter of the town's 15 square miles has been designated as a national or local historic district.

Most people visit Gallipoli for the chilling, contemplative sites of Anzac Cove and Lone Pine Cemetery. To honor the 500,000 soldiers who lost their lives at battle here, this peninsula was made into a National Park.
