Coron is a coastal town in northern Palawan, part of the Calamian Islands, where steep limestone formations rise above clear bays, lagoons, and sheltered coves. Bad Gastein is a mountain spa town in the Gastein Valley of Salzburg province, set at about 1,000 meters above sea level within the Hohe Tauern region. The town is built on steep slopes around the Gasteiner Ache, with historic buildings rising above the valley and mountains surrounding the settlement. Its most distinctive feature is the Gastein Waterfall, which drops through the center of town in three stages.

Located about twenty-five miles southwest of Rapid City, South Dakota, lies Mount Rushmore. Following Highway 244 from the west leads to the orientation center. There exhibits tell how sculptor Gutzon Borglum carved away twice the rock needed to construct Egypt's Great Sphinx (which isn't even as tall as Washington's nose).

Landshut has the epithet "the three helmet city", lead back to the coat of arms of the city, which shows three helmets, like they were worn by the city guards in the middle age. The armours, produced by the so-called "plattners", were known and popular far over the frontiers of Landshut, at that time.
