The Amazon River, winding through the heart of South America, is a marvel of nature that offers unparalleled adventure in one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Originating from the Peruvian Andes, the Amazon travels through nine countries before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean.
In Chile's arid Norte Grande, only one river in 700 miles of coastline makes it to the sea. Many towns have never experienced rainfall and depend on "Fogcatchers" to collect the morning dew for drinking water.
Set along a gentle curve of the Main River in Bavaria, the town of Miltenberg presents a streetscape that feels carefully preserved rather than rebuilt. Rows of half-timbered houses line a single main street, their wooden beams and painted facades forming one of the most photographed scenes in Germany. The old market square, known as the Schnatterloch, draws attention with its sandstone fountain and tightly packed historic buildings, creating a setting that has remained largely unchanged.
The Icefields Parkway is a scenic mountain highway connecting Lake Louise and Jasper through the Canadian Rockies of Alberta. The route follows valleys between rugged peaks, passing glaciers, turquoise lakes, alpine meadows, forests, and major river headwaters. It crosses the Continental Divide and runs through both Banff and Jasper national parks, forming part of a UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

The only coral island in the archipelago, Anegada is one of the British Virgin Islands and best known for its secluded beaches, extensive salt ponds, and nearly flat elevation which gave rise to the name Tierra Anegada, Spanish for "flooded land."
Although sparsely populated, Anegada's economy is based primarily on tourism, and secondly on commercial fishing. Visitors will find a number of rare or endangered species here: the Anegada rock iguana, Caribbean lobster, the loblolly tree, frangipani, feathery sea lavender and wild orchids.
Offshore, the 18-mile Horseshoe Reef is one of the world's largest coral reefs, making navigation difficult and causing numerous shipwrecks over the years.
