Corinna is a small, remote settlement on Tasmania’s west coast, set beside the dark waters of the Pieman River at the southern edge of takayna / Tarkine. Once a gold-mining settlement, it is now centred on a wilderness village surrounded by cool-temperate rainforest, rivers, and rugged country. Corinna has no mobile phone coverage and very limited supplies, giving it a distinctly secluded character.

Perth is pleasantly sited on the Swan and Canning rivers, with the cerulean Indian Ocean to the west and the ancient Darling Ranges to the east. It claims to be the sunniest state capital in Australia and the most isolated capital city in the world.

Set along the Seine, Caudebec-en-Caux is notable for its dramatic Notre-Dame church and Maison des Templier (The Templars' House).

Macondé is a small locality in southwestern Mauritius, set on the coastal road between Baie du Cap and Le Morne. It is best known for the dramatic section of road that curves around the base of a dark basalt cliff beside the Indian Ocean.
