Located on the Rhône River, Avignon is the city to which the Popes fled when leaving the corruption of Rome in the 14th century. The palace they built, 'Le Palais des Papes,' is a breathtaking must see.

Located along the British Columbia coast, it is the last northern road access to the coast and the a ferry port for the BC ferry system.

Santa Cruz de La Palma is the capital of the island of La Palma, one of the seven Canary Islands. Although often forgotten in favor of the similarly named Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it is a compact and colorful colonial town well worth a visit. Swimming, paragliding, and hiking and some of the most popular daytime activities, while stargazing is a favorite pastime after the sun goes down.

Dampier Peninsula is situated along the north east coast of western Australia within the famous Kimberley. Around half of the Peninsula is covered by Aboriginal land, and so you should check with the Tourist Information Centre in Broome about the areas where you may not be permitted. However, there are several places where you can stay.

The Dordogne River flows from the mountains of Auvergne to Bordeaux through the magnificent French countryside. The valley area named for the river is full of bucolic scenery, dotted with welcoming rural villages, quaint riverside castles, and plenty of opportunities for gourmet meals in true French tradition.
