Chugach National Forest covers a vast area of south-central Alaska, stretching from the Kenai Peninsula across Prince William Sound and into the Copper River region. It is one of the largest national forests in the United States and contains a varied landscape of mountains, glaciers, coastal fjords, rivers, wetlands, and dense spruce and hemlock forests.
Formerly Mocamedes, this port in southwest Angola has become an important industrial center since a rail line was built in 1905 connecting it with the interior of Angola. In 1967 when iron ore was discovered in Dongo, an additional line was laid and the port was enlarged.
Saint Guirec was a Gallic monk who evangelized Perros Guirec in the 6th century. Known primarily as a health and tourist resort, Perros-Guirec is set on the stunning pink granite coast. Explore Trestraou Beach with its fabulous pink rock formation or the beach of Ploumanac'h where St.Guirec is buried. Perros-Guirec also is host to one of the main bird reserves.
