Kanab, located near the southern border of Utah, is the gateway to Bryce and Zion National Parks and has been the location for hundreds of movies.

The Columbia River Gorge, straddling the border between Oregon and Washington, is a stunning natural wonder renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures. This dramatic canyon, carved by the Columbia River, is flanked by towering cliffs and lush forests.

Although not accessible by road, it is Peru's most important commerical center in the east. It is on the Amazon which is wide enough to allow freighters at their busy port. The 1880's saw the rubber boom and recently oil has been the boom.

This National Park is located 35km south of Fort Portal and is home to monkeys, chimpanzees, baboons, bushbuck, elephants, birds and many varieties of butterflies. A four wheel drive is recommended.

Zacatecas, built into the slopes of a narrow ravine in north-central Mexico, is a city with a deep mining past and a striking skyline. The historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its pink cantera stone buildings, narrow alleys, and impressive baroque facades. The Cathedral Basilica of Zacatecas, completed in 1752, stands as one of the most detailed examples of Mexican baroque architecture, with hundreds of carved figures covering its sandstone exterior.
