Whitehorse is the territorial capital of this Canadian site of the 1898 gold rush. It consists mostly of rural towns, where the main industries are mining and tourism. It is a land of forests, rivers and tall mountain ranges covering a total of 207,075 sq. miles.

Agafay, often called Morocco’s "stone desert," is located just 40 kilometers southwest of Marrakech, but the landscape feels like a different world. Stromboli is a small volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, just off the north coast of Sicily. Referred to by some as the "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean," Stromboli is in a constant state of mild volcanic activity, so don't venture out on a hike without an experienced guide.

Bar Harbor should be any traveler's Maine priority! Drink in a view of the Atlantic Ocean from the town pier, and be sure to get some lobster at one of the excellent local restaurants. Bar Harbor, a Mount Desert Island town, is also the portal to the rugged, recreational paradise Acadia National Park, where birding, whale-watching and kayaking is the order of the day. The park's Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on America's East Coast.
