One of Africa's most popular game reserves, Maasai Mara is located in Narok, Kenya, near the border of Tanzania. Named in honor of the Maasai people, this park is populated with wildlife including elephants, lions, zebras, and leopards.

Antigua, Guatemala's prized colonial monument, is just an hour from Guatemala City, and a pleasant alternative to staying in the capital. Good walking shoes are needed for its cobblestone streets. The most spectacular time to visit is Holy Week, when processions walk on handmade sawdust carpets with beautiful floral and geometric designs.

A moving sight...literally. Hubbard Glacier's recent nickname "the galloping glacier" refers to its rapid movement through Disenchantment Bay in the direction of the Gulf of Alaska. This tidewater glacier is a natural wonder over 6 miles wide! Those on ships are usually able to get within about a half mile of Hubbard Glacier's face.

Bar Harbor should be any traveler's Maine priority! Drink in a view of the Atlantic Ocean from the town pier, and be sure to get some lobster at one of the excellent local restaurants. Bar Harbor, a Mount Desert Island town, is also the portal to the rugged, recreational paradise Acadia National Park, where birding, whale-watching and kayaking is the order of the day. The park's Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on America's East Coast.

Perched on the southern coast of Iceland, the quaint village of Vík í Mýrdal, or simply Vík, is a destination that defies expectations with its dramatic landscapes and unique charm.
