The Coral Coast stretches along the southern edge of Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu, beginning around 15 km south of Nadi and continuing toward Suva. This 80 km shoreline is dotted with beaches that widen at low tide, bays set against green hills, and a series of small townships that feel welcoming and down to earth. Set in a wide valley beneath towering Himalayan peaks, Dingboche offers a striking pause along the route toward Mount Everest. Unlike the narrower trails below, Dingboche opens into a broad landscape framed by snow-covered giants such as Ama Dablam and Lhotse. The village sits high above the tree line, where the air feels thin and clear, and the surrounding terrain shifts from forested slopes to open alpine ground.

Coursing through 10 countries, the Danube is the second-longest river in Europe. This waterway, lined with fortresses and castles, rises in Germany's Black Forest and runs for 1,770 miles to the Black Sea. The Danube is an essential commercial thoroughfare for central and southeastern Europe, and several river cruise companies sail vessels on it year-round. Destinations along this river include Vienna, Budapest, Passau and Bratislava.
