Koh Lipe is a small island in Satun Province in southern Thailand, located in the Andaman Sea near the Malaysian border. It forms part of the Tarutao National Marine Park and is surrounded by clear coastal waters, coral reefs, and smaller islands. The island is known for its sandy beaches, shallow bays, and compact village area, where most places can be reached on foot.

Italy’s port city of Brindisi, tucked along the Adriatic coast in the Puglia region, has been a gateway to the East for over two thousand years. Once the Roman Empire’s main departure point for the Via Appia, the road to Greece and beyond, Brindisi still bears traces of its ancient past, from Roman columns to remnants of old harbors that once welcomed traders, pilgrims, and soldiers.

Shangri-La City, formerly known as Zhongdian, was renamed after the fictional paradise of James Hilton's "Lost Horizon" in an effort to promote tourism in 2001. Located in northwestern Yunnan province, Shangri-La is commonly used as a gateway into Tibet.

Located in the Indian state of Punjab, Amritsar is perhaps best known as the home of the Golden Temple, or Harmandir Sahib. It is one of the Sikhism religion's most significant and most-visited gurudwaras (place of worship). Tourists may also be interested in one of several museums, Urban Haat Food Street, Gobindgarh Fort and the Jallianwala Bagh memorial garden.

Eugene is home of the University of Oregon. It is a culturally and athletically diverse city. Bicycling magazine rates it as one of the top cycling communities in the country because of its numerous scenic bike baths. The Saturday Market features musical performers, arts and crafts, and fresh produce. Neighboring Springfield is the gateway to the McKenzie River Recreation Area, featuring whitewater rafting and camping.
