Baja California Sur is state located in Northwestern Mexico, on the Baja California peninsula. The capital is La Paz. The area is lightly populated. Tourism is the economic mainstay of this region, centered around the beach resort area, Los Cabos. Sport fishing is a major attraction, as well as having some of the best beaches Baja has to offer.

Yogyakarta, on the island of Java, is often described as Indonesia’s cultural capital, a reputation grounded in living tradition rather than nostalgia. It remains the seat of a functioning sultanate, and the royal palace, or kraton, anchors the city’s identity through ceremonies, crafts, and court arts that continue to shape everyday life. Trabzon was founded in the 7th century B.C. by Milletain colonists. On entering the city, on a green hill descending to the sea, is a well-preserved 13th century Byzantine church, now the Avasofya Museum. The walls of this church are decorated with frescoes, some of the finest examples of Byzantine craftmanship. The higher part of the city, the old quarter, inside the still extant fortifications with its timber houses, should be visited.
