Chetumal is the capital of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located near the border with Belize on the western side of Chetumal Bay. Unlike the large resort centers farther north on the Caribbean coast, the city functions primarily as a government, commercial, and cultural center.

Santa Cruz is in stark contrast to La Paz. Climate is tropical and altitude is only 1,250 feet. It is on the eastern lowland side of the Andes mountain range and one of the gateways to Bolivia's jungle area. Trinidad is the other. Bryce Canyon, tucked into the high plateaus of southern Utah, offers one of the most unusual landscapes in the American Southwest. It’s not actually a canyon but a series of natural amphitheaters carved into the edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. What makes Bryce unique is its dense collection of hoodoos which are tall, thin spires of rock formed over millions of years by frost-wedging and erosion.

Bayonne, nestled in the heart of France's Basque Country, offers a delightful blend of history, culture, and gastronomy. Lagos sits on the southern edge of Portugal’s Algarve where a lively old port town meets wide Atlantic skies.
