Lewa Wildlife Conservancy lies in northern Kenya at the foothills of Mount Kenya, where open savannah, wooded hills, and seasonal rivers create a varied and striking landscape.

Santa Fe Island, formerly known as Barrington Island, is one of the smaller of the Galapagos islands. Although relatively small and unpopulated, the island is a great day-trip option for visitors to the area.

Valley of Fire State Park lies in southern Nevada, northeast of Las Vegas, where more than 40,000 acres of red sandstone formations rise from a desert landscape of limestone hills and broad valleys. The park is Nevada’s largest state park and is named for the fiery appearance of its sandstone when sunlight strikes the rock. Wind and water have shaped the landscape into arches, narrow passages, domes, and ridges in shades of red, orange, tan, pink, and white.

Pulau Ubin, an island northeast of mainland Singapore, offers a glimpse into the country’s past with its preserved kampong (village) atmosphere and rustic landscapes. Unlike the modern cityscape of Singapore, Pulau Ubin retains its traditional charm, with wooden houses, coconut palms, and unpaved roads where bicycles are the main mode of transport.

The Inca Trail is a historic mountain route in Peru’s Cusco Region that leads through the Andes to Machu Picchu. The best-known route begins near Piscacucho, follows a network of stone paths through high valleys and mountain passes, and ends at Intipunku, or the Sun Gate, overlooking the archaeological site.
