IJmuiden is a North Sea port town in the province of North Holland, positioned at the mouth of the North Sea Canal. Its identity is closely tied to fishing, shipping, industry, and the sea, with working harbors and large vessels forming part of the everyday landscape. The town also has a broad sandy coastline and extensive dunes, creating a contrast between maritime industry and open coastal scenery.

The South Sandwich Islands are among the most remote places on Earth, a chain of volcanic peaks rising from the Southern Ocean, over 1,300 kilometers southeast of South Georgia. Kafue National Park is in western and central Zambia and is the country’s largest national park, covering about 22,400 square kilometers. The park takes its name from the Kafue River, which runs through the protected area and supports a wide range of wetlands, floodplains, grasslands, and woodland. Much of the park is covered by miombo woodland, while the northern Busanga Plains form extensive seasonal wetlands that become open grassland as floodwaters recede.

Punta Espinosa is located on Fernandina Island in Ecuador’s Galápagos archipelago, an island shaped by recent volcanic activity and isolated landscapes. The site is known for its dark lava fields, sparse vegetation, and large populations of marine iguanas resting along the shoreline.

Gosier, the largest tourist area, has the works - casino, resort hotels, scalloped sandy coves and an original village center which has managed to retain its local character.
