Murghab is a remote mountain town in eastern Tajikistan, located in the high-altitude Pamirs of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Murghab is an important stopping point on the Pamir Highway, connecting eastern and western parts of the Pamirs and continuing toward Kyrgyzstan.
