Mount Hood National Forest covers a large area of the Cascade Range east of Portland, centered on Mount Hood, Oregon’s highest peak. The forest contains volcanic mountains, deep river valleys, alpine meadows, dense conifer forests, and numerous lakes and streams. Mount Hood itself dominates the landscape, rising above surrounding foothills and visible from many parts of the region.

Located on the west bank of the Nile, Dendera is home to the famous Dendera Temple Complex, one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples. The Temple of Hathor features impressive reliefs and intricate carvings that draw visitors interested in Egyptology and ancient history.

Half of the land on Sanibel island is designated as natural areas with two preserves protecting the island ecology and wildlife, while the other half offers resort and glistening beaches.

Maumee is a city in northwestern Ohio along the Maumee River, just southwest of Toledo. Its setting combines a historic riverfront with residential neighborhoods, parks, and access to the wider Lake Erie region. The Maumee River has shaped the city’s geography and development, while nearby Side Cut Metropark provides wooded trails, wetlands, fishing areas, and views of the river.

Located on the Rhône River, Avignon is the city to which the Popes fled when leaving the corruption of Rome in the 14th century. The palace they built, 'Le Palais des Papes,' is a breathtaking must see.
