Krujë sits on a rocky hilltop above central Albania and has long been a symbol of the country’s history and independence. At Krujë Castle ancient stone walls rise above the town and offer striking views of the surrounding hills and valleys, and inside the fortress visitors find the Skanderbeg Museum, where armor, documents and displays recount the life and battles of Albania’s national hero.

Davos, located in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, is the highest town in Europe at 1,560 meters above sea level and known for its alpine sports and outdoor activities. In winter, it offers over 300 kilometers of ski slopes shared with neighboring Klosters, along with cross-country trails and Europe’s largest natural ice rink. In summer, the same mountains transform into hiking and mountain biking routes, including the panoramic Jakobshorn and Parsenn areas.

Wildlife abound along the rippling streams that feed the wild waters of the Wenatchee River, finally merging with the mighty Columbia. Augsburg was founded in 15 BC under the rule of the Roman emperor Augustus. For 400 years the city was the seat of a provincial government of the Roman empire. Its ideal location made it a crossroad of all important routes to the south. An advantage from which the powerful merchants and bankers, the Fugger family and the seafaring Welsers, likewise profited. They elevated Augsburg to rank among the world's most powerful cities. Kings and emperors were frequent guests here.

Walvis Bay, set along Namibia’s Atlantic coast, is a vibrant port town where desert and ocean converge in striking contrast. Once under German and later South African administration, the bay has long been valued for its deep natural harbor, which remains central to Namibia’s fishing and shipping industries today.
