Milne Bay is a large, island-dotted body of water in southeastern Papua New Guinea and the center of a province with one of the country’s most complex coastal landscapes. The bay extends around the southeastern tip of New Guinea and includes numerous islands, reefs, channels, and sheltered coves.

Yasuní National Park lies in Ecuador’s Amazon region, between the Napo and Curaray rivers, and protects one of the country’s largest areas of lowland rainforest. The park contains dense tropical forest, rivers, lagoons, swamps, and seasonally flooded areas, creating a wide range of habitats. Its location near the equator and its varied terrain support exceptionally high biological diversity.

Springfield is the capital of Illinois and a city closely associated with Abraham Lincoln, whose home, law practice, and political career were based there before he became president. Located in the central part of the state, Springfield sits amid the prairie landscape of the Sangamon River Valley.

Ambleside lies on the main north/south road through the central lakes (A591) at the northern end of Lake Windermere. Its central location makes it an ideal base for walking, climbing or touring.
