Caminha sits at Portugal’s northern edge, where the Minho River meets the Atlantic and marks the border with Spain. Its history is closely tied to defense and trade, visible in remnants of medieval walls and a compact historic center that once guarded the river mouth.

Molokai, island, in Kalawao County, administered by Maui County, central Hawaii, between Oahu and Maui islands, known as the Friendly Island. On the southern coast of Molokai is the port of Kaunakakai. The island rises to 1512 m (4961 ft) in the east at Kamakou Peak. Pineapples, coffee, and cattle are raised. In 1873Father Damien, the Belgian Roman Catholic missionary, began his work in the leper colony of Kalawao on the Kalaupapa Peninsula of northern Molokai.

A picturesque village situated in a forgotten inlet, Porto Cervo is the main resort on the Costa Smeralda. This popular resort offers all types of sports and leisure facilities (water sports, tennis courts, internationally famous tourist harbour, and restaurants, night clubs, discos and luxurious boutiques), as well as white sandy beaches alternating with reefs.

The Bahamas, an archipelago of more than 700 islands and cays, is known for its dazzling turquoise waters, powdery white and pink sand beaches, and vibrant culture rooted in African, British, and Caribbean influences.

The city of Oporto is situated on the right bank of the River Douro, being the second largest city of the country. Oporto is the regional capital of the northern area.
