Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, also known as South Ari Atoll, lies southwest of Malé in the central Maldives and includes a mixture of inhabited islands, uninhabited islets, sandbanks, and resort islands. More than 800 species of orchids grow there and over 200 species of day moths have been catalogued.

Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is a city of striking contrasts where centuries-old traditions meet rapid modern growth. Known as the “City of Rickshaws,” it is famous for its vibrant street life, colorful cycle rickshaws, and markets that seem to run around the clock.

Charlotte Bay is best known for its combination of glacial scenery and marine wildlife. The surrounding mountains descend toward heavily glaciated coastlines, while the bay itself can contain floating sea ice and icebergs of varying sizes. Whales are regularly encountered in the waters of the Antarctic Peninsula, and seals may also be seen around ice and along the shoreline.
