Timor-Leste, one of the world’s youngest nations, is a place where resilience and cultural richness shape everyday life. Its history is deeply marked by centuries of Portuguese colonial rule, followed by Indonesian occupation and a long struggle for independence, achieved in 2002.

Glendalough, located in County Wicklow, is one of Ireland’s most historically significant and visually striking valleys. It’s best known for its early medieval monastic site, founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. From Pigadia you may visit Kyra Panagia, a picturesque bay with a marvelous beach and a monastery of the same name. A little further, on the northern promontory of Karpathos, lies the Diafani village; on the nearby little island of Saria we see Palatia, with ruins of the ancient city of Nisyros.

Lesotho, known as the “Kingdom in the Sky,” is a landlocked nation entirely surrounded by South Africa, famed for its dramatic mountain landscapes and rich cultural traditions.
