Upolu is the more populated of Samoa’s two main islands and is home to Apia, the country’s capital and principal urban center. The island stretches from volcanic mountains in the interior to a deeply indented coastline of bays, beaches, and coral reefs. Lush vegetation covers much of the landscape, with villages, plantations, and gardens occupying the lower slopes and coastal areas.

Amed is a coastal area in eastern Bali, Indonesia, stretching along the northeastern side of Karangasem Regency. The area consists of a series of small fishing villages and bays, including Amed, Jemeluk, Bunutan, and Lipah. Its landscape combines black volcanic beaches, dry hills, rice terraces, coconut palms, and views toward the Bali Sea.
In Engelberg visitors can enjoy activities in all seasons. In winter, snow covers long ski runs, and slopes of all levels stretch down towards the valley. In warmer months, the same lifts take hikers to high meadows where paths lead past lakes and ridges with spectacular views. Down in the valley, the Brunni area has gentle slopes, a summer toboggan run, and even barefoot trails around quiet ponds, offering a different side of the Alps.
