Tamarindo Beach is a Pacific coastal destination in Guanacaste Province on Costa Rica's northwestern coast. The beach stretches along a broad bay bordered by tropical vegetation, estuaries, and low coastal hills. Tamarindo is part of the Las Baulas Marine National Park area, which protects important coastal and marine habitats nearby.
One visit to Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park in Madagascar and you may find yourself feeling like you have stepped onto another planet. The mineral forest was formed nearly 200 million years ago and has become a popular destination for adventurous hikers from around the world. The hanging bridge, while not for the faint of heart, is one of the most photographed spots within the park.
In the newer area you will find excellent hotels, chic shops, and good restaurants. Near the old downtown commercial center, behind the Catedral Metropolitana, and a block off Central Park, the Central Market where everything made or produced in the country is sold.
The Kenai Peninsula extends southwest from Anchorage into the Gulf of Alaska and is one of south-central Alaska’s most varied regions. Its landscape includes the Kenai Mountains, coastal forests, glaciers, broad river valleys, lakes, and a long shoreline along both Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska. Communities such as Kenai, Soldotna, Seward, Homer, and Cooper Landing serve different parts of the peninsula, while the Kenai River and numerous smaller waterways connect the interior to the coast.
Port Antonio is a coastal town in northeastern Jamaica, serving as the capital of Portland Parish and sitting between the Caribbean Sea and the foothills of the Blue Mountains. The town is surrounded by steep green hills, rivers, bays, and tropical vegetation, with the natural harbour formed by Navy Island and the mainland providing a sheltered setting.
