Perched on a ridge overlooking the Dudh Koshi River valley, Tengboche is home to one of the most iconic monasteries in the Himalayas. The Tengboche Monastery dominates the skyline, its whitewashed walls and golden roof visible from miles around. Surrounded by towering peaks such as Ama Dablam, Kangtega, and Thamserku, the village offers visitors sweeping panoramas and a sense of quiet reflection high in the mountains.
Wiesbaden is located in west central Germany at the southern foot of the Taunus Mountains, on the Rhine River, near Frankfurt. Marigot Bay, located on the western coast of Saint Lucia, is often regarded as one of the Caribbean’s most picturesque natural harbors. Enclosed by lush green hills and swaying palms, the bay has long drawn sailors, writers, and filmmakers.
Ascension island, British dependency of St. Helena, in the South Atlantic Ocean, about midway between Africa and South America and 700 miles northwest of St. Helena. The small, volcanic island was sighted by the Portuguese in 1501, but it was uninhabited until the exile of Napoleon to St. Helena in 1815.
