A quaint Italian town off the beaten path.

Modena is a historic city in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, celebrated for its deep culinary heritage, elegant architecture, and automotive excellence. It lies in the fertile Po Valley and is often considered one of Italy’s most livable cities.

Boppard, the pearl of the Rhein, gets its nickname from the fact that it is situated on part of a horse-shoe ben in the Rhein, resembling a pearl in an oyster shell. This bend is one of the most severe anywhere on the Rhein, so much so that the town frontage faces due north while the vineyards, one the same band face due south. The bend is also known as the "bendiest bend on the Rhein."

Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, stands apart from its island neighbors with its blend of neoclassical architecture, Orthodox and Catholic traditions, and year-round local life. Ermoupoli, the main town, was once a thriving 19th-century port and still displays its legacy through grand mansions, marble-paved squares, and the imposing Apollo Theater which was designed by an Italian architect and often referred to as a miniature La Scala.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural treasures. Its dense rainforest, often draped in mist, shelters a wealth of biodiversity and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for both its ecological significance and natural beauty. This ancient forest is among the few places on earth where travelers can come face-to-face with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
