Bamburgh is a coastal village on the Northumberland coast of northeast England, overlooking the North Sea from a low rocky rise. Its most recognizable landmark is Bamburgh Castle, which dominates the village and stands above a wide stretch of sandy beach. The settlement is surrounded by open coastal scenery, dunes, and views toward the Farne Islands.

Siglufjörður is Iceland’s northernmost mainland town, set at the head of a narrow fjord on the mountainous Trollaskagi Peninsula. Steep slopes rise closely around the harbor, giving the settlement a compact setting shaped by the sea and mountains. Van Buren is a historic river city in western Arkansas, situated along the Arkansas River near the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. Its location has long connected the community with river travel, railroads, and routes through the Arkansas River Valley. Downtown Van Buren is particularly distinctive, with six blocks of restored buildings forming the Main Street National Historic District.
