Dominica, known as the “Nature Island of the Caribbean,” is a haven for eco-tourists and adventure seekers. Bear Mountain State Park occupies a rugged section of the Hudson Highlands on the western bank of the Hudson River, about 45 miles north of New York City. The park covers roughly 5,000 acres of forests, mountain slopes, lakes, and riverfront, making it one of the best-known public recreation areas in the Hudson Valley. Its landscape supports hiking, biking, fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking, and winter activities.

Anse Mitan is a coastal neighborhood and beach on the Pointe du Bout peninsula in Les Trois-Îlets, on the Caribbean side of Martinique. The beach curves gently along Fort-de-France Bay, with pale sand, calm coastal waters, and views across the bay toward Fort-de-France and the Pitons du Carbet. Unlike more secluded beaches on the island, Anse Mitan is closely integrated with the surrounding resort area, with hotels, restaurants, shops, and water-sports facilities along the shoreline.
