Barcelona is the capital of Anzoátegui state in northeastern Venezuela, situated a short distance inland from the Caribbean coast and connected closely with neighboring Puerto La Cruz.
One of the few fully walled cities from Roman times, this city is located south of Liverpool. Interesting shops in the town center are on the second level.
The name is not an exaggeration. Here 100-foot high glaciers and precipitous mountains present an incomparable panorama, a riot of color in white, red, yellow and blue.
