Ballachulish is a small village in the Scottish Highlands, set at the mouth of the River Laroch beside the narrow waters of Loch Leven. The surrounding landscape includes steep mountains, wooded slopes, rocky shorelines, and the broad valley of nearby Glencoe. The village is divided into several settlements, including North Ballachulish, South Ballachulish, and Ballachulish itself, giving the area a distinctive layout shaped by the loch.
Farther from a continental landfall than any other group of islands on earth, the twelve Marquesas jut out of the open Pacific just south of the equator, shrouded in a constant cloud cover.
Masai Mara is a renowned wildlife region in southwestern Kenya, known for its broad grasslands, seasonal rivers, and high concentration of large mammals. The reserve forms part of the greater Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, allowing wildlife to move across a much larger landscape beyond the protected area itself. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and numerous antelope species are commonly associated with the region.
Kylemore, Ireland, sits quietly amidst the mountains and lakes of Connemara, offering visitors a blend of history and scenic views that feels both grand and intimate. The village is best known for Kylemore Abbey, a striking structure set against the backdrop of rolling hills and reflective waters. Visitors approaching the estate are greeted by formal gardens and woodland trails, where the reflections of the abbey shimmer in the calm lake.

Besides being one of the largest and most remote of the Galapagos Islands, Fernandina Island is home to the area's most active volcano. It also boasts the most pristine ecosystem; unlike other islands in the Galapagos, Fernandina has thus far avoided the introduction of any non-native mammal species.
Relatively little vegetation is found here, thanks to the volcanic activity, but endemic wildlife is abundant. Large populations of marine iguanas and flightless cormorants inhabit the island, as well as sea lions, penguins, pelicans, and more.
Visitors to Fernandina Island have just two destinations to choose from: Punta Espinoza and Punta Mangle. The former is more popular, offering fascinating tidal pools and a short hike ideal for viewing mangroves and lava formations, while the latter is an excellent site for snorkeling or diving.
