Black Hills National Forest covers a mountainous island of forests in western South Dakota, surrounded by the open plains of the Great Plains. Costa del Sol is a coastal resort area in the department of La Paz, extending along a long sandbar between the Pacific Ocean and the estuary system of the Jaltepeque River. Its landscape combines broad sandy beaches, coastal vegetation, tidal channels, mangroves, and calm waterways, creating a setting that differs from El Salvador's more rugged volcanic coastline.
The Cliffs of Moher rise dramatically from the Atlantic Ocean, stretching for about 8 kilometers along Ireland’s western coast in County Clare. At their highest point near O'Brien's Tower, the cliffs reach 214 meters, offering uninterrupted views of the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, and the craggy peaks of Connemara on a clear day. These ancient sea cliffs have stood for over 300 million years and remain one of the most visited and photographed sites in Ireland.
Benguerra Island, part of Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago, is a tropical paradise known for its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and rich marine life. Accessible by boat from Vilankulo, the island offers a secluded retreat where visitors can enjoy sun-soaked sandbanks, coral reefs, and the gentle sway of palm trees. Its small size and limited development help maintain an intimate atmosphere that feels far removed from bustling tourist hubs.

This is a wild and beautiful area unlike anywhere else in the world. Torres del Paine lies between the central spine of the Andes, nearly buried under a massive ice cap and the steppes of Southern Patagonia. The mountains that comprise Paine Massif are not high for the Andes, but they are precipitous. What makes individual mountains so dramatic is that from most places in the park entire peaks can be seen-from base to summit-and they appear to leap into the clouds from the floor of the valley. With its 450,000 acres, Torres del Paine truly is a world-class park because of its completeness, having every feature one could hope for in a temperate zone park. It has, like all truly great parks, that indefinable element in its character to which visitors respond.
