Cape Le Grand National Park lies on the south coast of Western Australia, east of Esperance, where granite peaks, coastal heath, freshwater pools, and white sandy beaches meet the Recherche Archipelago. Ampefy is a highland town in central Madagascar, situated in the Itasy region west of Antananarivo. Onguma Private Game Reserve covers about 35,970 hectares along the eastern boundary of Etosha National Park in northern Namibia. The reserve contains open savanna, bushveld, dry riverbeds, seasonal pans, ancient leadwood trees, and waterholes that attract wildlife. Its position beside Etosha gives visitors access to two different conservation areas, with guided drives within the private reserve and excursions into the national park.

Lewiston and Clarkston are located at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers at an elevation of 738 feet above sea level. The valley is rather narrow with a range of hills to the North sloping abruptly to about 2,000 feet above the valley floor.
