El Cuco is a small coastal community in the department of San Miguel, on El Salvador's eastern Pacific coast. It is known for its long sandy beach, volcanic black sand, warm waters, and setting between the Pacific Ocean and the forested foothills of the Sierra Tecapa-Chinameca range. The area is less urbanized than the country's larger coastal centers, with small hotels, restaurants, guesthouses, and fishing businesses spread around the shoreline.
Most people visit Gallipoli for the chilling, contemplative sites of Anzac Cove and Lone Pine Cemetery. To honor the 500,000 soldiers who lost their lives at battle here, this peninsula was made into a National Park.
Nelson sits along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake in southeastern British Columbia, embraced by the rugged peaks of the Selkirk Mountains and threaded with over 350 heritage buildings that tell the story of its silver-rush beginnings. A short trip outside town leads to spots like the Salmo–Troup Rail Trail, a wide, gentle path that follows an old rail line for kilometers through forest and alongside rivers.

Istanbul
Istanbul is a city built on layers of empire. Spanning two continents, it was once the capital of three major empires: Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman. Visitors walking through the Sultanahmet district can witness this timeline firsthand, from the Roman-era Hippodrome to the Byzantine mosaics of Hagia Sophia, and the towering minarets of the Blue Mosque. At nearby Topkapi Palace, rooms still display the jeweled swords, ceremonial robes, and handwritten Qurans once used by Ottoman sultans.
Çanakkale
The city of Canakkale lies at the narrow, 1,200 meter entrance to the Canakkale Strait that connects the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean. To honor the 500,000 soldiers who lost their lives at Gelibolu (Gallipoli), the peninsula was made into Gelibou Historical National Park.
