Novi Sad
Novi Sad, Serbia’s second-largest city, sits along the banks of the Danube River and has long served as a cultural meeting point in the Balkans. Its centerpiece is Petrovaradin Fortress, a massive 18th-century stronghold nicknamed the "Gibraltar on the Danube." The fortress is known not just for its historic architecture but also for its network of underground tunnels and the iconic clock tower where the hands are reversed, meaning the large hand shows the hour.
Otavalo
Otavalo is a city in Ecuador’s Imbabura Province, set in a high Andean valley surrounded by mountains, farmland, and volcanic landscapes. It is best known for its Indigenous Kichwa population and its long-standing textile and craft traditions. The city sits between Imbabura and Mojanda volcanoes, with the peaks of the surrounding Andes visible from many parts of the valley.
Nata
Nata is a small village in northeastern Botswana, situated where several roads meet between Maun, Francistown, Kasane, and the Makgadikgadi salt pans. Its location makes it an important stopping point for travellers crossing the country's northern and central regions. The surrounding landscape is predominantly dry, with grasslands, scrub, woodlands, and expansive salt-pan systems shaped by seasonal rainfall.

Trabzon
Trabzon was founded in the 7th century B.C. by Milletain colonists. On entering the city, on a green hill descending to the sea, is a well-preserved 13th century Byzantine church, now the Avasofya Museum. The walls of this church are decorated with frescoes, some of the finest examples of Byzantine craftmanship. The higher part of the city, the old quarter, inside the still extant fortifications with its timber houses, should be visited.
