Conwy
Located approximately 50 miles west of Chester, along the northern Welsh coast, is the beautiful small town of Conwy. In 1283, King Edward I set out to build a series of magnificent castles, of which Conwy was one of the largest. In addition, the town was fortified with walls which still exist today, making this one of the finest surviving fortified medieval towns in the world.

The principal attraction of this suburb south of Los Angeles (on I-5) is that remarkable entertainment machine, Disneyland. Even adults will delight in this theme park, and there's now an element of nostalgia for many parents -- they first went there when they were children.

Katmai National Park
Katmai National Park and Preserve lies along Alaska’s remote Pacific coast, shaped by volcanism, glaciers, and deep time. The area gained prominence after the 1912 Novarupta eruption, one of the largest volcanic events of the 20th century, which transformed the landscape and led to the creation of the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes.
