Salmon Arm is a community on the southern shore of Shuswap Lake in British Columbia’s Southern Interior. Its location places the city between Kamloops and Revelstoke, with the lake, surrounding hills, and forested valleys shaping the local landscape. The community takes its name from the southwest arm of Shuswap Lake, which was historically associated with salmon runs in the waterways entering the lake.

Maun, often referred to as the "tourism capital" of Botswana, is a vibrant gateway to the Okavango Delta, one of the world's largest inland deltas. Augsburg was founded in 15 BC under the rule of the Roman emperor Augustus. For 400 years the city was the seat of a provincial government of the Roman empire. Its ideal location made it a crossroad of all important routes to the south. An advantage from which the powerful merchants and bankers, the Fugger family and the seafaring Welsers, likewise profited. They elevated Augsburg to rank among the world's most powerful cities. Kings and emperors were frequent guests here.
