Santiago, the cultural capital of Cuba, is a passionate, unique destination, second in size and importance only to Havana, the governmental capital of the island. Some of Cuba's most famous musicians were born here, as well as the Bacardi brand of spirits, and the UNESCO World Heritage describes the local citadel of San Pedro de la Roca as "the most complete, best-preserved example of Spanish-American military architecture."

Mountain Zebra National Park lies in the Eastern Cape near Cradock, protecting a rugged section of the Great Karoo. The park’s landscape includes open grassland, rocky mountains, valleys, and dry plateaus, with vegetation adapted to the region’s semi-arid conditions. It was established to protect the Cape mountain zebra, a species that was once severely reduced in number.

On the Canadian border where Lake Huron and Lake Superior meet, a canal built in 1895 still is used to have boats bypass the rapids of the St. Mary's river.

St. Thomas, the gateway to the U.S. Virgin Islands, is a vibrant mix of history, culture, and Caribbean charm. Its capital, Charlotte Amalie, features a waterfront lined with pastel-colored colonial buildings, narrow cobblestone streets, and historic forts such as Fort Christian, which offer glimpses into the island’s Danish colonial past.

One of San Cristobal Island's most popular visitor sites is Cerro Brujo, with its expansive white sand beach and a lagoon that locals once used as a salt mine but now offers excellent snorkeling opportunities. Another must-see is Kicker Rock, a fascinating rock formation that looks like a boot from one angle (hence its English name) and like a sleeping lion from another (thus its Spanish name, Roca León Dormido).
