Connemara, on Ireland’s rugged west coast in County Galway, is a region defined by its untamed landscapes, Gaelic traditions, and tranquil pace of life. Known for its windswept boglands, heather-covered hills, and granite mountains, Connemara feels both remote and deeply authentic, a place where Irish language and culture remain vibrant. The area has long inspired artists and writers drawn to its wild beauty and poetic solitude.
Pula, a historic city located on the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia, is renowned for its impressive Roman heritage and vibrant cultural scene. This monumental structure, built in the 1st century AD, offers visitors a glimpse into ancient spectacles and gladiatorial contests. Bibury, often described as one of the most beautiful villages in England, is a must-visit destination in the heart of the Cotswolds. The village is famous for its idyllic setting along the River Coln and its stunning stone cottages that date back to the 17th century. ANN ARBOR -- Long regarded as one of the freest-thinking college towns in the U.S., Ann Arbor is home to the University of Michigan, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Domino's Pizza. While you're in Ann Arbor, be certain to see the city's many fascinating historic buildings (including the Gothic-style Law Quadrangle at the university and the restored and refurnished Greek Revival Kempf House); the Kelsey Museum of Ancient and Medieval Archaeology; and Kerrytown (a diversity of specialty shops and eateries in restored 19th-century buildings close to the Farmers Market). We recommend at least a day in Ann Arbor. Amid the noteworthy events on Ann Arbor's calendar are the Summer Festival of the Performing Arts (mime, dance, theater, music, lectures, films and exhibits, June-July) and the Ann Arbor Art Fair (a juried show with more than 1,000 exhibitors, July).
