Amboise has 12,000 inhabitants and is in the heart of Touraine, in the land of chateaux. It is a town both traditional and modern, lively and quiet. In Amboise, there is a royal castle set above the Loire Valley and is a strong point extensively embellished during the 15th and 16th centuries.

Culloden, located just outside Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, is the site of one of the most significant and sobering moments in Scotland’s history. On April 16, 1746, the Battle of Culloden marked the violent end of the Jacobite uprising led by Charles Edward Stuart, better known as Bonnie Prince Charlie. In under an hour, the hopes of restoring the Stuart monarchy were crushed by government forces.
Argentina shares half of this island territory in the South Atlantic Ocean with Chile. It's a place of oil derricks, sheep, glaciers, wind and waterways. Ushuaia and Río Grande are the two main towns; awesome scenery, wild walks and fishing are the island's main attractions. Kalmar Union, combination of the crowns of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, effected at Kalmar, Sweden, by Margaret I in 1397. Because all three crowns were elective, the union could not be maintained by inheritance. Margaret's successors controlled Sweden intermittently until Gustavus I of Sweden dissolved the union (1523). Norway became independent in 1814.
