The Makena area has one of the most beautiful shorelines in South Maui, it is also home to a world class golf course and some of the major resorts on Maui. Makena is also adjacent to one of the more remote areas of Maui, the La Perouse Bay are, the end of the road for the South side.

Inyeug, more commonly known as Mystery Island, is a tiny, uninhabited islet off the coast of Aneityum in Vanuatu’s southernmost province. Measuring just 1.5 kilometers long, the island is completely free of roads, shops, and electricity. What it offers instead is pure seclusion and untouched beauty. Cruise ships often anchor offshore, bringing day visitors to its white-sand beaches and shallow coral lagoons, but once they depart, the island returns to stillness.

Saint-Louis is a historic city in northern Senegal, positioned on an island at the mouth of the Senegal River where the river meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its distinctive setting between waterways has shaped the city’s architecture, economy, and daily life. The historic island is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its regular street plan, waterfront quays, colonial buildings, and distinctive balconies and galleries.

El Jem is a town in central Tunisia best known for its exceptionally preserved Roman amphitheatre, which dominates the surrounding plain. The monument was built as a free-standing structure of stone blocks and could accommodate an estimated 35,000 spectators, making it one of the largest amphitheatres in the Roman world. El Jem developed in an important agricultural region associated with olive cultivation and the production and trade of olive oil.
