Nuuksio National Park is a protected landscape of forests, lakes, rocky hills, and wetlands in southern Finland, close to the Helsinki metropolitan area. The park lies mainly in Espoo and extends into Kirkkonummi and Vihti, yet its terrain feels far removed from the nearby urban region. Pine and spruce forests cover much of the area, while numerous small lakes occupy hollows between granite ridges.
Stretching 277 miles in length and more than a mile deep, this vast canyon reveals layers of geologic time stacked like pages in a book. Standing on the South Rim, visitors can look out over colorful cliffs and winding trails that have drawn explorers, artists, and travelers for generations. The views change with the light starting with crimson at sunrise, golden at sunset, and every hue in between.
For a unique exciting vacation explore Paradise, with resorts, casinos and exciting nightlife on an island formerly called "Hog." Its transformation is not unlike Cinderella's putting on the glass slipper. For years the island stood completely undeveloped, its beaches and tropical splendor unnoticed by the world. Suddenly, with the addition of luxurious hotels and a sparkling casino, it was transformed into one of the most glamorous and celebrated resort centers in the world.
Bryce Canyon, tucked into the high plateaus of southern Utah, offers one of the most unusual landscapes in the American Southwest. It’s not actually a canyon but a series of natural amphitheaters carved into the edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. What makes Bryce unique is its dense collection of hoodoos which are tall, thin spires of rock formed over millions of years by frost-wedging and erosion.
