The largest virgin tract of rainforest in Australia (and the second largest in the world), this lush, tropical World Heritage area is a living testimonial to the ancient rainforests which once covered the earth's surface. Cool forest streams, primitive rainforests, stunning mountain scenery and abundant wildlife - a naturalists and bird watchers paradise.

Nelson sits along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake in southeastern British Columbia, embraced by the rugged peaks of the Selkirk Mountains and threaded with over 350 heritage buildings that tell the story of its silver-rush beginnings. A short trip outside town leads to spots like the Salmo–Troup Rail Trail, a wide, gentle path that follows an old rail line for kilometers through forest and alongside rivers.

Santa Cruz is in stark contrast to La Paz. Climate is tropical and altitude is only 1,250 feet. It is on the eastern lowland side of the Andes mountain range and one of the gateways to Bolivia's jungle area. Trinidad is the other. The island is dominated by a cool and moist maritime climate. During the summers, the average temperatures vary from 45 degrees to 75 degrees F. Yearly precipitation averages from 60" to 200" based on the exact locale.

Known as Sugar City, Lautoka is a tropical destination on the western coast of Fiji.
