Point Reyes is a rugged coastal region of Northern California, extending into the Pacific Ocean on the western side of Marin County. Much of the peninsula is protected within Point Reyes National Seashore, where windswept beaches, coastal cliffs, grasslands, forests, wetlands, and rocky headlands create a varied landscape.

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is a large protected area spanning the border between South Africa and Botswana in the southern Kalahari. It combines red sand dunes, dry riverbeds, grass-covered plains, and scattered camel thorn trees across a semi-arid landscape. The park is managed cooperatively by the two countries, allowing wildlife to move across the international boundary without fences.

Kagoshima, Japan offers a captivating blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and culinary delights. Nestled on the southwestern tip of Kyushu, this city is famously dominated by the imposing Sakurajima volcano, one of Japan’s most active volcanoes. Visitors can take a ferry to get up close to the volcano or view it from the Kagoshima City Viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views.

Zion National Park, located in southwestern Utah, is known for its massive sandstone cliffs, narrow slot canyons, and unique desert ecosystems. Established in 1919, it was Utah’s first national park and continues to attract visitors with its dramatic elevation shifts and striking rock formations. The park’s most iconic feature, Zion Canyon, stretches for 15 miles and reaches depths of up to 2,640 feet, carved over time by the Virgin River.

The Treasure Coast area, from Jupiter north to Vero Beach, can be considered to be "sleapy." The pace of life is slow here, which is why people live and visit. Just because the pace is slow, however, doesn't mean nothing happens here. There are plenty of events, too, that are worth driving to attend.
