Troy
Troy, a place of legends and a place of history. One of the most famous cities of ancient history, the mythological city of Troy dates back to the early Bronze Age. Best known as the famous city of Helen and the horse of Trojans from Homer's Iliad.
Niger
Niger, located in West Africa, is a country of vast landscapes and diverse cultures. Much of its territory is covered by the Sahara Desert, with rolling sand dunes, rocky plateaus, and oasis towns defining the northern regions.
Ullapool
Ullapool is a village in the Scottish Highlands about 65 miles north-west of Inverness. Ullapool is known for the progressive, ecologically sound practices of its inhabitants and is the center for the Highland Environment Centre; a project of the Highland Eco Trust.
Iquitos
Although not accessible by road, it is Peru's most important commerical center in the east. It is on the Amazon which is wide enough to allow freighters at their busy port. The 1880's saw the rubber boom and recently oil has been the boom.
Caernarfon
Caernarfon, a town in northwest Wales, is famed for its medieval heritage, most notably Caernarfon Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Edward I in the late 13th century.
