Amritsar
Located in the Indian state of Punjab, Amritsar is perhaps best known as the home of the Golden Temple, or Harmandir Sahib. It is one of the Sikhism religion's most significant and most-visited gurudwaras (place of worship). Tourists may also be interested in one of several museums, Urban Haat Food Street, Gobindgarh Fort and the Jallianwala Bagh memorial garden.
Rønne
Rønne is the largest town on the Danish island of Bornholm, located on the island’s western coast along the Baltic Sea. Its historic center combines narrow streets, low timber-framed houses, and small squares with a working harbor that remains important to local transport and fishing. The town is also a practical starting point for exploring Bornholm, with roads and cycle routes connecting it to the island’s forests, cliffs, beaches, and villages.
Hammerfest
Hammerfest, located above the Arctic Circle in northern Norway, is one of the northernmost towns in the world with a population of over 10,000. It’s a place where the midnight sun shines from mid-May to late July, and the polar night sets in from late November to mid-January. Historically a hub for Arctic hunting and fishing, Hammerfest was also the first town in Northern Europe to install electric streetlights in 1891.
Engelberg
In Engelberg visitors can enjoy activities in all seasons. In winter, snow covers long ski runs, and slopes of all levels stretch down towards the valley. In warmer months, the same lifts take hikers to high meadows where paths lead past lakes and ridges with spectacular views. Down in the valley, the Brunni area has gentle slopes, a summer toboggan run, and even barefoot trails around quiet ponds, offering a different side of the Alps.
Dammam
Dammam, the capital of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, stands as a vibrant coastal city overlooking the tranquil waters of the Arabian Gulf. Once a modest fishing village, it has transformed into a major commercial and industrial hub, central to the Kingdom’s oil industry and maritime trade.
