The Fleet
MSC Cruises’ 13 ships boast a host of cutting-edge innovations and the latest technologies, and its global fleet is one of the youngest at sea. The fleet was born of a $6 billion investment program launched in 2003 and after successful completion of the first investment phase, the Company launched a second phase investment plan for another 11 ships. MSC Cruises is the first global cruise line brand to develop an investment plan of such length and magnitude, spanning an horizon of over ten years, from 2014 through 2026.

A centuries-old relationship with the sea
Having a history is a privilege. While others need to invent theirs, we have a true story to tell. It begins more than 300 years ago, with the seafaring Aponte family from Sorrento in Italy. Building on the experience and expertise gained over the centuries, this family of ship owners and captains went on to create MSC Cruises, now the largest privately owned cruise company in the world.
